Hi, I’m Hailey Moon
Product & User Experience
I’m curious about how people think, how things work, and what happens when the two meet.
I’ve spent years growing products in tech and making ideas real through my own studio. Now I’m pursuing an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction at Georgia Tech.

A little more about me
I’m an Aussie who was born in Korea, grew up between Korea and Australia, and has called a few different places home. These days, I’m based in Atlanta. I've learned that wherever I can find a good grocery store and a running route can be my home.
When something catches my interest, I'm rarely satisfied with just knowing a little about it. I'd rather try it myself, figure out how it works, and see how far I can take it.
In the water
I'm an AIDA3 advanced freediver, and I love the strange feeling of going deeper into the ocean on a single breath.
Underwater, everything gets quiet. I become more aware of things I'd normally overlook
: how my body feels, how I breathe, and how my mind reacts.
I've learned that what holds me back isn't always physical. Sometimes it's the nervousness, the overthinking, or simply not being able to relax. The challenge is learning to stay calm, trust myself, and recognize my limits.
The deeper I go, the more I realize how much there is to learn about myself.
At the table
I cook mostly so I have an excuse to open a bottle of wine.
What started as a casual interest turned into something more serious, eventually leading me to earn a WSET qualification. But the more I learned, the more fascinated I became by everything that doesn't fit neatly into tasting notes.
The exact same wine can feel completely different depending on the food, temperature, people, or even your mood. I love that something can be studied so carefully and still surprise you.
And perhaps my favorite part is what happens around the table: people slow down, conversations get longer, and we start noticing little things we might otherwise miss.
On the run
Running is where I spend time with my own thoughts.
I've completed a half marathon, and I'm still chasing a faster 10K. There's something satisfying about working toward a goal that can't be rushed. Some days I feel stronger, some days I don't, but I keep showing up.
I also like how simple it is. All I need is a pair of shoes and somewhere to go. It's become one of my favorite ways to get to know a new city, and to feel at home in it.
Beyond myself
I first started volunteering in middle school, helping care for children with autism. In college, I joined a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with cerebral palsy. I've also been supporting children overseas and child rights protection in Korea through donations for over a decade. I try to find ways to make a positive difference, however small.
One experience that stayed with me was struggling to connect with a child during the horseback riding program. Words, eye contact, and facial expressions didn't seem to work. But once we started riding, something changed. Through movement, the child began communicating in ways I hadn't known how to recognize.
It taught me that understanding others isn't always about getting them to communicate in ways I'm familiar with. Sometimes, it's about learning to notice how they already do.
Sharing how I see the world
Outside of building products, I make short films and experiment with media art. They're my ways of exploring ideas, expressing how I see the world, and sharing that perspective with others.
I've always had a habit of turning passing thoughts into actual projects. Sometimes that means learning something entirely new, sometimes it means bringing people together, and sometimes it means figuring things out as I go.
I like ideas, but I like seeing them come to life even more.
I guess I'm a little too impatient to leave good ideas sitting in my head.
Good wine, long runs, deep oceans, and ideas worth chasing.
If any of that sounds like your thing, say hi!
Thanks for coming by.
